The Democratic Charter for the future of a free Iran by Dr. Armand Nouri

The Islamic republic of Iran is doomed to failure and it will soon be overthrown thanks to the aid and the combat of the Iranian people. After a period of transition we will have a free Iran; it will be built and will prosper and be proud to be.

I, Armand Nouri, describe what will follow once Iran is freed by our efforts:

1) One of our first steps will be to reestablish liberty, independence, and territorial integrity, all while respecting the rights of the Iranian people on the socio-political scene. We will equally watch over the security of the national territory and the well being of our fellow citizens as well as the social justice.
2) In order to construct our country we will serve to the best of our ability and with all our energy over the shortest period possible in order to obtain the maximum results.
3) We would like to procure to the Iranian people the methods which would permit us to advance hand in hand with love and fraternity on this difficult path, and it is thus that we will be able to regain our pride and our prosperity, and to verifiably rebuild the country.
4) We will reestablish the National Education and the social security with free access to the basic needs of all and for all, ensuring the development of industry and agriculture. It would be equally necessary to develop the public service. We will augment non-petroleum resources as well. We must not be dependant solely on petroleum; we should employ other sources of energy while respecting the environment.
5) We propose to augment the workers’ salaries in the cities and villages, thus the increase in purchasing power. One of our major priorities would be to diminish the percentage of unemployment and inflation.
6) To give to the Iranians the possibility of preparing itself for the beginning of the third millennium, where they will be able to coexist with the other people that defend the idea of a free world. The introduction of democracy and the friendship between millions of Iranians will abolish the change of the individual society and the birth of a new identity founded on nationally unity.
7) To support the freedom of thought and expression as well as the freedom of the press; the existence of different associations and political parties is also an important point of our program.
8) Dear compatriots, we would like a modern and developed Iran in harmony with its culture and history—a proud and new Iran that would be at the necessary level of a modern world.
9) Dear Iranians, we will construct an Iran while respecting all the while the public opinion, we will be a nation where the decision of the people carries a great importance seeing as the democracy and the implication of the people of the future is our main goal.
10) We will give to the future generations an Iran with human values, values of respect and love for the peace of our nation and for that of other people; we apply ourselves to defend the spirit of good and to fight against that of evil.
11) We will reconstruct a prosperous and modern Iran on the bases of wisdom. We will accompany the Iranians until the end of this difficult path in order to abolish these objectives; ours discussions and our acts will be founded on human values; this will be our gift to the entire world.
12) We are not thirsty for vengeance, and all those who would rejoin our movement in order to liberate Iran would be very much welcomed.
13) We will reestablish the security and the liberty of the people so that we may prepare them for a referendum in a free socio-political climate. The Iranian people should be able to choose its future regime without any fear or pressure; all the political parties will continue their activities in order that the people would choose their future while having the maximum amount of information.
14) During the period of transition, there would be certain modifications concerning the direction of the society which would be in favor of the economic and social prosperity.
15) It would be necessary to consolidate the international political and economical relations, all while respecting the same interests and rights, allowing for the betterment of worldwide relations, the encouragement and the prosperity of the economy as well the favor of foreign investments.
16) The religious society will transform itself in a democratic manner into a secular society, all while respecting the values of our culture.
17) Whichever regime the Iranians may choose, it will be an internationally legitimate nation.
18) After a referendum and after having chosen a government, there will be elections of a Constituent Assembly and the ratification of a new Constitution of the country.
19) The head of the State will be in accordance with these laws.
20) Finally, these legislative elections will have the goal of reconstructing the Parliament and the Senate.

This temporary government will be dissolved and the new government, chosen according to the democratic rules, will commence its functions.

Here, therefore, is a part of our future program that will allow for a free Iran, proud and prosperous.

We will reach this objective as soon as possible with the aide of the Iranian people.
